FOUR tries for Darren Woods condemned the Roughyeds to their 21st consecutive defeat as the Lions left Boundary Park with victory.
That Oldham managed to secure a bonus point in defeat was probably the only bright spot of the day for the home supporters as 18 unanswered points gave Paul Kidd's side three points.
Having gone behind to Woods' first try, Oldham then dominated the first half but could only lead 12-10 at the break as Neil Roden and Chris Baines went over for Oldham, while Woods responded with Swinton's second score.
Geno Costin's try and Paul Ashton's third goal put Oldham eight points ahead nine minutes after the break, but that heralded a Lions fightback.
They capitalised on some poor Oldham defending, especially on their left-hand side, to score 18 points in 14 minutes.
Woods scored twice more, Phil Wood and Andy Saywell both touched down, while a goal from ex-Oldham man Chris Hough completed a miserable afternoon for the home side.
