Gilcryst Cup joy

IRLAM MS progressed to the third round of the Gilcryst Cup by beating Stockport Georgians 3-2 after extra time.
Their goal scorers were Darren Andrews, Steve Mills and Gary Prescott.
Monton Amateurs were beaten 2-0 by Wilmslow Albion in the Manchester Football League Premier Division.
Salford AFC lost 3-1 at home to Chapel Town in the first division and in-form striker Gaz Rooney netted in Fives Athletic's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Stand.
Fives under-21s recovered from a 3-1 deficit to beat Urmston Town 4-3 in a cup tie. Phil Froggatt scored an early goal, Callum Jones netted with two headers and his brother Scott hit a 20-yard screamer.
