JIMMY Shaw won all 12 of his matches as Irlam's Railway side finished eight points ahead of White Horse in the Irlam and Cadishead 501 League's first division championship race.

Irlam Catholic Club took the second division title. Coach and Horses claimed the minor honours.

Steelwork B's Johny Atherton was the division's most consistent player. He won 13 of his games and drew the other.

Staff of Life B triumphed 6-3 in their Swinton 501 League first division title decider with Salisbury B.

Mike Renshaw hit a 180 for Staff. Mike Thomas won in 17 darts for Salisbury.

Mike Grimshaw fired in a maximum in a 15-darter as Farmers thrashed Football 8-1. Morning Star beat White Swan by the same score with the help of Stuart Wilmott's 16-darter and 180s from Bert Millership and his son Lee.

Alan Breeze checked out on 121 in Borough B's 5-4 win against Lord Nelson.

Les Henderson's 180 helped Borough A to defeat Buckley by the same score.

Swinton Cons Club B were also 5-4 winners. They overcame second division high flyers Windmill.

Paul Gibson won the decider in Wellington's Eccles Joseph Holts League victory over Union.

He completed a magnificent fightback as Wellington trailed 3-0 at one stage.

Bill Cunliffe took the deciding leg in White Lion A's win against Morning Star.
