Marshall to coach

15/12/2005

NEW signing Richard Marshall has won a place on Swinton Lions' coaching staff.

The 29-year-old former Leigh prop will replace the retired Alan Robinson as an assistant coach.

Head coach Paul Kidd said: "Richard has worked under some great coaches in his time, including Leeds' Tony Smith.

"He has plenty of experience and a great attitude towards the game, his training and his fellow players. He will be a big asset to us both as a player and a coach."

Kidd became a dad for the first time on Friday. His wife Louise gave birth to a 7lbs 9ozs baby girl, who they have decided to call Holly.
