Swinton sign two more players

SWINTON Lions have snapped up Widnes Academy starlet Mike Stout and completed the signing of Castleford's Welsh international Jordan James.
The forwards have penned 12-month contracts to the delight of Paul Kidd. Lions' coach said: "Jordan signed terms on Sunday and I am sure he is going to be a key player for us next season. As for Mike, he played against Leeds in the Senior Academy Grand Final last season. At 21 he is a young back rower with a lot of potential. He's a strong tackler with great footwork and he's joined us looking for a head start at first team level."
The Lions' 2006 season tickets are now available at the club shop on Station Road, Swinton. Adult prices range between £120 and £140 while concessions tickets cost either £60 or £80. Junior ground tickets, which grant admission into all home and away league and Northern Rail Cup games plus other selected cup matches, are priced at £30.
Meanwhile, the Swinton Lions Supporters Trust will hold a Christmas quiz night at the Folly Club on Thursday, December 15. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8.15 start. There is a £2 entrance fee with prizes going to the winners.
