Unbeaten run is halted

LANGWORTHY Reds' unbeaten run came to an end with a lacklustre display against a strong Leigh Miners side.
The Reds scored tries via goal kicker Reece Olive, Kurt Turner, Steve Kemp and Marc Jones but they lost the game 48-22.
Langworthy under 18s defeated Leigh East 36-20 with tries coming from Chris Fleming, Ben Hawksworth, Sam Grech, Andrew Jolly (2), Sam Donley (2) and Mark Roberts.
The under 16s lost 22-14 at Saddleworth, tries by Daniel O'Neil (3) Tom McAvoy and Jarod Kelly gave the under 14s a 22-18 victory over Leyland, the under 11s were beaten 30-24 by Shevington Sharks, the try scoring heroes in the under 10s' 20-10 success at Burtonwood were player of the match Lewis Kemp, Mark Eldridge (2) and Jak Cody, the under nines went down 24-20 against Leigh Miners Rangers and the under eights drew 24-24 with Parkside Golborne.
Player of the match Harry Coleman (3), Joshua Bray (2) and Bailey Goldthorpe touched down for the under eights.
