Lions looking for a Hull load of success

SWINTON Lions are looking for cup glory to complement their superb league form as they travel to Hull Kingston Rovers in the Northern Railway Cup.

With the Lions sitting pretty at the top of National League Two they face the Yorkshire men from the division above on Sunday for a place in the semi-finals.

Coach Paul Kidd believes the Lions can go to Craven Park and get a result.

He said: "It's a great challenge for us playing one of the biggest clubs in the National League.

"Our form is good in the league and we're on a good run so we've got to be confident of getting a result."

Lee Marsh will be missing due to a wedding and there are injury niggles.

Kidd said: "Ian Watson has a groin injury, though we think it is a strain rather than a tear so I will make a decision on Thursday.

"Ian Sinfield has taken a knock to his leg and Kris Smith has knocked his knee, so I need to make a decision on them two.

"But apart from those we have a good, fit squad and are looking forward to the game."
