Craig on cue for world bid

SNOOKER ace Craig Steadman is just five games away from a place in the Embassy World Championships in Sheffield.
The 22-year-old from Walkden took on Londoner Kurt Maflin in a qualifier at Ponton's in Prestatyn last night (Wednesday).
"It would be a dream come true to qualify for the World Championships," said Steadman, who practices at Walkden's CueMasters Club.
Steadman has already won four qualifying games, but needs to win the same number again to reach the Crucible.
He added: "I've been practicing hard and I'm confident about the way I'm playing. Anything after this is a bonus for me."
