LITTLE Hulton and Swinton both won 6-4 in the Lancashire GMC Super League.

The Hulton men beat Halliwell with the help of 116 and 124 checkouts from veteran Harry Blakestone and a 180 from Richard Higson. Steve Whalley, Lee Grimshaw, Alan Hodgson and Stuart Wilmott also won on Sunday.

Swinton got the better of High Crompton, Tony Green and Gary Roberts hit 16-darters and received winning support from Andy Gourlay, Tommy Swindells, Mike Thomas and Andy Chase, who hit ten three-figure scores.

Swinton ladies drew 4-4 with Blackpool, the quartet of successes coming from Pauline Kent, Carol Warwick, Dawn Shaw and Ann-Marie Millership.

The Salford Monday League's women's individual champion is June Lomax of Pendleton Royal British Legion. She beat her team-mate Nichola Gledhill in the final having already taken care of Legion's Brenda Gresty in the last four. Also beaten at the semi-final stage was Dover's Margaret Roberts.

The Captain's Cup went to Ashley Brook's Andy Gourlay, while the Landlord's Trophy was won by Paul Siddall from St Boniface's Club.

Champions from the Salford Regent League, Joseph Eccles League and the Irlam and Cadishead Log-End League will be among the sides competing for the £350 first prize in the Manchester Federation of Log-End Leagues' individual championship in Moston on January 23.
