CHAMPIONS Ashley Brook went down to their third successive defeat in the Salford Monday League when they lost 5-3 and a set to unbeaten pace-setters Weaste Con Club. St Boniface's Club beat the Flemish Weaver 7-2 with the help of a 180 from Phil Smith.

Three maximums came in the Swinton 501 League match in which the Swinton Legion beat the Farmers 7-2. Mike Grimshaw and Alan Royle hit one each for the losers, while Gary Roberts hit a 180 in a 15-darter. Tommy Swindells rounded off a 15-dart leg with a 127-checkout for the winners.

Rick Moore's 16-darter was the highlight of Moorside Farm's 5-4 win at the Con Club A, a throw which was emulated in the second division by Windmill's Andy Chase. His 16-darter contributed to a fine 8-1 win against the Forresters.

The Salford Regent League's secretary knockout winner is Derek Horton from the Royal Oak, Prestwich. He got the better of the holder, Pendleton Legion's Danny Mayo, 2-1 in the final.

The Gallon League was determined by a play-off after the Legion A and the Union had finished level on points. Wins from the Legion's Tommy Fitzpatrick and Ian Ravenscroft earned them a 2-1 win.

Swinton travel to Darcy Lever while Little Hulton take on Bolton in the Lancashire GMC Super League on Sunday. Swinton ladies have a home match against Darwen.
