DE La Salle stayed top of the North Lancs Counties division one at the season's half-way point with a comfortable victory over Chorley.
The home side struggled in the first 25 minutes and Chorley took the lead with two penalties. But gradually La Salle's forwards took control of the game and, in an eight-man drive, man-of-the match Alan Graham went over for the first of his two tries.
On the stroke of half time, the pack again drove the ball forward and winger Shane Richardson joined in to go over and make it 10-6 at the break.
In the second half La Salle slowed it down and started to play more flowing rugby while the visitors tackled hard but could not break the home side's line.
Good work from Mike Hulmes and Mark Hughes enabled Lee Halsall to burst through the narrowest of gaps to score.
As the game went on the pack began to dominate, and from a planned move Pete Massey sent Pete Halsall over for another try, which Jimmy Evans converted.
Graham then went over in the corner for his second try and the same man kicked a penalty to complete the scoring.
On Saturday, La Salle take on Halton in the Lancashire Plate, kick-off 2pm.
