Star trio set to sign

IF all goes according to plan, three big signings are on the horizon for Swinton Lions claims boss Paul Kidd.

A trio of National League One players, including at least one back-rower, could sign for the club by the end of the month claims the Blues' boss - who wants a squad of 25 players for the start of pre-season training in November.

He told Advertiser Sport: "I am speaking to two of the players before the end of the week and they are quality, no doubt about that. I am also looking at bringing in a few of the BARLA u23s squad which was recently announced and I have spoken to one of our former players, Mike Woods, who has been scoring tries for fun at Thatto Heath."

Kidd has also spoken to most of last season's squad, with the "majority" of players giving positive indication that they will sign for another season.

Swinton have announced that Tudor Heating Services will take up shirt sponsorship next season. The Manchester Airport Authority logo will also appear on players' shorts throughout next season.
