KARATE is a family affair at the Lacey household - where more than mum's best china could get broken in a dispute about the bathroom!

Training at the Shorai Karate centre in Broughton, Alan, aged 19, his twin sisters Leisha and Laura, both 14, and their cousin Alan passed their first dan black belt on the same day last month.

But dad, Paul, says he is happier doing the household chores. He told us: "When they go out training I start washing the pots. Seiously though, I'm very proud of them. For five years they've been training seven days a week for a couple of hours each day."
