Beechfield dedicate win to Dean

BEECHFIELD dedicated this superb victory to the memory of Dean Wilson - brother of United's Mark, who died last week.
Players learned that Mark's 29-year-old brother Dean had died before the match against Gatley - and this spurred them on to a magnificent performance, said manager Chris Ellison. He told Advertiser Sport: "This was dedicated to Dean. Mark gave me a note to read to the players before the game to explain why he would be missing for the next few weeks. Obviously, our thoughts go out to Mark for his tragic loss."
Dean - a father of two and keen Manchester United fan - was found dead on December 17 by his flatmate in Bury. He was a well known and popular figure with everyone at the club. After an impeccably observed minute's silence, Beechy tore into Gatley with two first-half goals from Christian Bates. Anthony Weall made it three before Jason Mears and Luke Mather capped off a fine win.
