Robinson cracks in all four in Egerton victory

JOHN Robinson hit all of Egerton Arms' goals as they beat GM Salford Lads 4-2 in the Carr and Hume Eccles Sunday League Premier Division.

Finn M'Couls were also in scoring form as they smashed seven past Clifton, with Skeels and Evans hitting two each.

Catholic Club went out of the County Shield by the odd goal in seven against Norris Albion in the First Round, but De La Salle fared better with a 2-0 away win over Failsworth Athletic in the Second.

In the Third Round, Hollins Green and Irlam MS travel through after victories over Hope and Langley Albion respectively.

In the Margaret Piggott Cup, Charlestown went through to Round Three after a fine 4-1 win at the expense of Royal Oak.

Rockhouse Hotel, Boathouse, Waggon & Horses and Weaste Villa travel through to Round Two.

Parkwyddn were thrashed 5-1 by Lightoaks in the ESL First Division, where Manchester Maccabi beat Chandos 3-1 and Higher Irlam Social Club lost 4-3 to MEL.

In the Second Division, Pendleton RBL had a 5-3 win over Unicorn, Woolpack beat Salford 4-3 and Walkden Cricket earned a 4-2 victory over Yewtree.

Star hit nine past Cock in the Third Division, where Swinton Vics drew 0-0 with Jarbar and Wellington one apiece with Blue Star Brit.

Swinton Folly thrashed Salford JOB 7-2 in Division Four and there were away wins for Church Pendleton and Barge Inn.

Mike Kirby cracked five for Showboat in the Fifth Division as they beat United Foods 9-3. Dog & Partidge earned a 3-2 home win over Brook Tavern, Astley won 6-0 away to Tophouse Rangers and Poets drew 4-4 with Brookfield Villa.
