Gavin Swinson, Neil Lowe and Jamie Rooney (2) scored Rovers' first-half tries with Richard Newlove (2) and Rooney crossing in the second.
Lions' Jason Johnson scored a brace of tries with Dale Holdstock (two) and Dave Ellison also touching down.
