26/ 7/2002

DIAMONDS polished off their triumphant season with a trophy-laden presentation night at the Albert Park.

Centre-half Ged Shields won Player of the Year, Darren Birchall won manager's Player of the Year and veteran Tony Ordish won Sportsman of the Year.

Hotshot Brian Adams won the top goalscorer prize by a landslide - netting an astonishing 51 goals last season.

Darrens Birchall McNamara also collected trophies for their man of the match performances in Diamonds' two victorious cup finals.

Press secretary Dave Wilkinson was also awarded a Liverpool FC portrait for his constant badgering of Advertiser Sport.
