Juniors ready for new challenge

27/ 6/2002

RL: SALFORD Juniors u14s are looking forward to life in the North West Counties Division One after a successful promotion season.

Ken Robinson's team strode four points clear of Blackpool to claim the silverware this season and are now gearing up for the new campaign against stronger opposition. Not that this should concern Salford, however, as they brushed past First Division Ashton in the Knockout Cup this year without batting an eyelid, claims Ken. "We definitely looking forward to the new season," he said, "It will be a big challenge for us, but we're building ourselves up and we're very confident."

Three of Salford's stars have signed scholarship forms with Salford Reds this year - with Anthony Armstrong, Will Rigby and Jack Chapman all tipped as potential stars of the future.
