Mr Angry on the way back

25/ 6/2002

MIKE Hancock has started on the long road to recovery after dislocating his shoulder against Castleford.

Salford's 'Mr Angry' has refused to retire from rugby league and is still hopeful of playing again before the end of the season when he returns to Australia. He has met with surgeons at Hope Hospital and has started a light rehabilitation programme which is expected to last six to eight weeks.

Hancock suffered a painful inferior dislocation of his shoulder when forcing Castleford's Michael Eager into touch just over a fortnight ago. He was given heavy medication and transferred directly to hospital where the joint was manipulated into place.
