Harrison named as Reds' new coach

30/ 5/2002

SALFORD City Reds have this morning announced that Bradford Bulls assistant coach Karl Harrison will take over from Steve McCormack at the Willows.

Harrison will take over the post vacated by Steve McCormack. He will be present for the coming game versus St Helens and will see his first game in charge away to Castleford on June 9.

A former Great Britain International, Harrison ended his playing career with Halifax Blue Sox and took up coaching duties with their alliance team before joining Keighley Cougars as Head Coach. Under his guidance, the Cougars made it to the NFP play-offs.

Following Matthew Eliiot's departure from Odsal, Brian Noble appointed Harrison as his second in command, where he has since enjoyed much success with the Bulls.
