Maloney misses out

FRANCIS Maloney will miss out on Salford's Sunday showdown against Castleford with a broken cheekbone.

The ex-Castleford centre - who has been in fine form this season - will see a specialist this week to decide whether the injury is more serious than first thought.

Darren Shaw is the only other injury worry after he took a knock in a bruising second half at the Shay. Reds Media Manager Carolyn Derbyshire said he has a swollen eye but should make Sunday's match with the Tigers.
