21/ 3/2002

THREE GOALKEEPING errors allowed GM Salford Lads to book a place in the TJ Judge Cup Final after an exciting clash against Parkwyddn.

Lads led 1-0 at the break after a blunder from the 'Wyddn number one, and increased their lead in the second period.

But Parkwyddn fought back well and took the game into extra time with two well-taken goals from man-of-the-match Paul Brown and Lee Robinson.

The match looked set for penalties until, in the final minutes of the extra period, another gaff let in Lads for the deciding strike. Goals for the victors came from Neil Smith (2) and Darren Chew.
