Hull too strong for Lions

10/12/2001

HULL KR proved to be too strong for the Swinton Lions, comfortably beating them with a 28-6 victory.

The visitors were always in control of the game and led 12-6 at the break with a brace of tries from Jimmy Walker and two conversions from Chris Charles. Stuart Dickinson crossed for the Lions' only score.

However, Rovers pulled away in the second half with a quality performance which prevented the home side adding to their early try.

Hull added further scores from Bob Everitt, Rob Wilson and Craig Murdock, with Charles kicking two more goals to complete the rout.
