Lions improve, but still go down
4/ 3/2001
DONCASTER were made to battle all the way by a much-improved Swinton side, but still ran out 40-14 winners.
It looked comfortable for the Dragons after they raced into a 20-2 interval lead, thanks to two tries from Marvin Golden and a Jason Lee score.
But Swinton hit back in the second half with a couple of tries from Craig Dean to narrow the gap to 10 points.
Doncaster re-asserted themselves with tries from Tony Atter, Paul Green, Martin Moana and Anton Garcia in the closing stages and that was enough to make it seven successive league defeats for Swinton.
