Reds injury woes for Superleague opener

REDS' second row Warren Jowitt will be missing for a month following a hernia operation this week.

The promising forward was missing for a large part of last season with a dislocated shoulder and has looked sharp in pre-season games against Warrington and Halifax.

He is one of a number of key players missing from the line-up for Sunday's opening Superleague clash against Hull.

New Aussie signings Mark Corvo and Greg Ebrill will be missing on Sunday after failing to recover from a knee and back injury respectively. Malcolm Alker and David Highton are suspended and Andy Coley should return in April following knee surgery.
