Star racers run away with medals

RAPID racers across the city picked up medals at the Salford Schools Cross Country Championships.
The event, staged across three races between October and January, saw Canon Williamson pupils in Years Eight and Nine take team gold.
Elsewhere, Liam May and David Doherty, from St Joseph's The Worker in Irlam, claimed first and second respectively in the overall Year Six rankings.
Congratulations also go to Emily Rogers, from Beech Street Primary School, Winton, who finished first in all three Year Six races.
