Fitzy back at last

STAR strike player Karl Fitzpatrick will make his long awaited return from injury tonight, Thursday, July 26, kick-off 7.30pm.
The Salford Reds full back, who has been out of action for more than six months after tearing his Achilles' tendon during pre-season training, will line up for the under-21s Academy in their home game with Warrington.
Reds coach Shaun McRae is delighted to have Fitzy back playing again but he warned that the Irish international will need 'a fair few' under-21s games before he is ready for a recall to the first team.
McRae said: "Fitzy is a very important player for this club and it is great to see him back playing again. But he has not played for a long time and there is no way I'm going to rush him back into the first team. I'm hoping that he will play for the first team before the end of the season but there are no guarantees with that."
Prop Paul Highton, who has missed Salford's last three games with a recurring calf problem, is also set to play in tonight's Academy game at the Willows.
