Brocklehurst back and McGuinness ruled out

25/ 5/2006

SALFORD are expected to have second rower Andrew Brocklehurst back on board for their 'must-win' game against Harlequins RL on Bank Holiday Monday, May 29, kick-off 7pm.

He has been a mainstay of Salford's pack this season and looks set to shake off the back problem that ruled him out of Friday's Challenge Cup win against Wigan.

However, centre Kevin McGuinness will remain on the sidelines. He is the only Salford player unavailable for the Harlequins game.

A second scan on his calf injury has revealed a slight tear and he is not expected to play again for a fortnight.

Salford's director of football Steve Simms said: "We picked up no noteworthy injuries against Wigan. We played well in that match so we go into the must-win Harlequins game with confidence high."

The same can be said for Harlequins. They have struggled in the main this season but they enjoyed a record 82-8 win against Barrow in their last outing.

Salford are offering discounted ticket prices for the Harlequins match. Under-16s tickets purchased before 4pm on Saturday, May 27, cost only £1. And there is a £1 discount for all other ticket types purchased before this cut off point.
