Warrington Wolves 6 Salford City Reds 22

17/ 4/2006

SALFORD'S victory over Warrington brought them level with second-placed Leeds in the Super League table.

The Reds got ahead with tries from Karl Fitzpatrick and David Hodgson and took a decisive grip with two more later in the first half after Henry Fa'afili had replied.

Luke Robinson and Stuart Littler were the men to cross as the game swung firmly the visitors' way.

Warrington spent most of the second half in Reds' territory but could not find a way through and badly missed the creativity of injured half-backs Lee Briers and Chris Bridge.
