SEVEN-TRY Wigan swept Salford aside at the JJB Stadium.
Stuart Littler had given the Reds an early lead with an interception try, but it was all about the home side after that as Tickle, Carney and Newton (2) put them 24-6 up at half-time.
Andrew Brocklehurst pulled Salford back with a try early in the second half, but Wigan pushed forward and further tries from Carney, Tomkins and Tickle made it a heavy defeat for the Reds.
