CRAIG Stapleton beams with pride after picking up a record number of Salford player of the year awards.

SALFORD’S Aussie prop forward Craig Stapleton became the first Red in history to win four player of the season awards on Monday night.
After picking up a clean sweep of the coaches’, players’, supporters’ and Platinum Club’s player of the year awards at Salford’s annual presentation night at the Willows, Stapleton said: "This is a very proud moment for me and my kids will be stoked.
"Joining Salford has worked out very well for me. I’ve really enjoyed playing for the Reds this year and the more you enjoy your football the better you play."
Rising scrum half star Richard Myler picked up the young player of the year award and the Reds’ 89-year-old lottery ticket seller Ernie Edwards was named as the clubman of the year.
The under-21s Academy’s coaches’ and players’ player of the year awards went to prop Sean Kehoe and utility forward Mark Hobson respectively. Prop Paul Steele and half back Lewis Palfrey were unveiled as the under-18s’ coaches’ and players’ player of the year respectively.
