Coach wants quadruple

24/ 7/2008

REDS coach Shaun McRae has ordered his players not to let the euphoria of Tuesday’s Super League licensing thumbs up to effect their performances out on the pitch.

McRae says that Salford have completed two of their goals for the season in lifting the Northern Rail Cup and gaining a return to Super League through the new licensing system. And now he wants them to achieve the other two – finishing top of the National League table and winning the League One Grand Final.

McRae said: "The players have to remain professional. There’s still a lot to play for this season and I won’t have anyone taking their foot off the gas."

New Zealand star Robbie Paul is a doubt for the Reds’ home game against Leigh tomorrow night, Friday, July 25, kick-off 8pm, after picking up a shoulder injury in Salford’s 30-30 draw at Featherstone at the weekend.

Winger Paul White missed that match with a knee injury but he is expected to return to action against Leigh.
