New arrivals 'unlikely'

SHAUN McRae insists that it is ‘highly unlikely’ that Salford will sign any players before the National League transfer window closes next Friday, July 18.
The Reds’ head coach said: "We proved on Sunday by lifting the Northern Rail Cup that we are more than capable of winning trophies with the squad that we’ve got.
"We have got to the top of the National League One table with those players and I am quite happy with the squad.
"So, at this stage, I would say that it is highly unlikely that we will be bringing anyone in. We haven’t got anyone lined up.
"I can’t see us bringing any loan players in either. If we were to sign somebody they would have to be good enough to go straight into the side and I don’t know of anyone of that quality who is available."
