INJURED duo Mat Gardner and Karl Fitzpatrick are expected to be passed fit for Salford’s League One battle at Batley on Sunday, March 30, kick-off 3pm.

Winger turned centre Gardner suffered a painful ‘dead leg’ injury in the Reds’ 42-12 home win against Featherstone on Easter Monday. And full back Fitzpatrick missed that game with a shoulder injury he sustained in the Reds’ 24-8 Good Friday win at Leigh.

   At batley the Reds will field a strong side,and that should ensure a pleasing result. And the RFL cannot fail to be impressed by the strength of the Reds application for the Super League. The Super League should have a club to service the immediate M/C area and salford fits the bill! Plus the basis of a solid team, a corps of steady fans,a wonderful tradition and the promise of a new stadium . res ipse loquitor ,as the solicitor would say!Jim Shelton
