Ear-Leigh title test

SKIPPER Malc Alker says that the National League One opener at Leigh will be the Reds’ most important game of the 18-match campaign.

The 29-year-old considers Leigh to be Salford’s main challengers for the League One title.

   Undoubtedly, the Leigh match will go a long way towards answering any questions about the ability of Salford to enjoy much success in the Nl. Also it should point to how much more it will take to compete in the Super League. JIm Shelton
