Hands up if you want to rescue Hope

CHILDREN at a Salford nursery have been getting their hands dirty to support the campaign to keep maternity services in the city.
Holyrood Nursery pupils have been doing their bit to support the Advertiser's Hands Off Hope campaign by producing posters for our rally.
The event will be taking place on the field near the nursery - which faces the hospital in Stott Lane - and will start at 11am on Saturday, March 25.
Parents and children across the city are being urged to turn out and help save the hospital's maternity and neonatal intensive care units. Both are under threat under Greater Manchester Strategic Health Authority's Making It Better plans to reduce the number of sites offering the service across the county.
Sarah Dunn, manager of the nursery, which is a partnership with Salford Royal Hospitals NHS Trust, said: "We wanted to do our bit to help the campaign.
"We explained to the children what we were doing it for and that the place where babies are born in Salford might be closed down. They're really looking forward to seeing their posters displayed on the day of the rally.
"The children thoroughly enjoyed making them - they were whipping their aprons on and couldn't wait to get started."
Worsley MP Barbara Keeley and Eccles MP Ian Stewart will be speaking at the rally along with Capital Gold DJ Mike Sweeney.
You can download our colour Hands Off Hope poster from our website - www.salfordadvertiser.co.uk - to bring along on the day.
