Howzat for a new flat roof?

LITTLE Hulton Cricket and Bowling Club has secured its future with a new £9,500 roof after the old one was ready to fall in.
The club's flat roof had been leaking badly and was ready to cave in and deprive the community from using the building.
Luckily United Co-operatives Charitable Foundation stumped up the cash to buy a new roof, after the club applied for funding.
The group was awarded the much-needed cash by the company and was recognised as playing an important part in the community of Little Hulton - as a place used for children's club's, cricket and bowls in the summer and as a location for people to socialise.
Chief executive of the Co-operative Foundation, Peter Marks, handed over the cheque at an awards evening and said: "Businesses like United Co-operatives have a social responsibility to ensure that funding gets to the areas that need it most.
"Only in this way can we help build confidence in our communities, help develop self-esteem among our young people and engender trust between the communities we serve and our wider social objectives."
