Hayley the shooting starlet

THE search is almost over for talented young songstress Hayley Scanlon, who is through to the prestigious final of the Taylor Brothers Search for a Star competition.
Hayley, aged 15, of Hawthorn Avenue, Monton was up against older and more experienced contestants in the annual competition run by the Barton Road club but that hasn't put her off so far.
The Wentworth High School pupil has belted out song after song and will be hoping to put in an even more glittering performance on finals night on Sunday, December 21.
Said proud mum Kim: "She has only been singing in public for two years but has shown tons of confidence, even though I say so myself!
"Amazingly, she got up and won her semi-final the day after she celebrated her 15th birthday."
After coming out tops, it was back to school the following day but now Hayley is busy practising her numbers for the final.
She hopes to go on to a performing arts college after she has completed her GCSEs.
