Search continues for car-jack killers

A POST mortem on the 46-year-old man killed by a car-jacking gang in Salford Quays has revealed that he died from severe head injuries.
Glynn Ellis was murdered on St Lawrence Quay on Tuesday, following an attempted car theft. Glynn who had been living in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire but was originally from Manchester, had returned to his car which was parked on St
Lawrence Quay after watching the football match at Old Trafford. Upon his return it is believed that a group of between four or five men tried to steal his Ford Mondeo, following a struggle Glynn ended up on the floor trapped under the car. Glynn was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers received a good response to yesterday's (Thursday) appeal for information and are still urging any witnesses to come forward. Manchester United have agreed to follow up this appeal and are printing the information in next
Week's match programme. It is hoped that people who attended Tuesday's match will pass any information that they may have onto the murder incident room.
