Armed gang's raid on bank

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery outside Barclays Bank on Chorley Road in Swinton yesterday (Wednesday).
A security guard was making a cash delivery to the bank at about 10.30am when he noticed a silver car parked nearby, with at least three people inside.
The front seat passenger then climbed out of the car, and pointed a black handgun at the guard who dropped the cash box and ran off. The offender then picked up the box and returned to the car, a silver Audi A3 registration T303 JVM which then drove off along Wellington Road before heading up Swinton Hall Road. The car has not yet been traced.
