DEVOTION knows no bounds for animal lover Maura Flynn who has taken on the cause of abandoned cats in Langworthy.
Maura, aged 56, makes a weekly trip from her one-bedroom flat in South Manchester to feed a colony of feral cats which she got to know when her son lived in the area.
Now she says she is worried about their future because the area has been earmarked for demolition.
Said Maura: "It was probably not wise to start feeding them but some of them looked in a sorry state and I couldn't turn away."
"But I am not being over-sentimental about them. I realise that the best solution would be for the cats to be caught, neutered and then hopefully be moved to a safer environment.
Maura is now hopeful an animal agency will step in to house and care for the cats once the bulldozers move in.
