Concern for missing diabetic

31/ 1/2001

POLICE are becoming increasingly concerned for the health and safety of a 57-year-old Salford man who has been missing since yesterday morning (Wednesday).

Arthur Lloyd from Little Hulton is an insulin dependent diabetic, but does not have any medication with him. He left his house shortly after 9.30am yesterday morning to drive to Bradford to pick up a part for his stairlift, but staff at the company say he never arrived, and he has not been in touch with his family since.

Arthur is described as white, 5ft 6in, of heavy build, balding with strawberry blonde hair, speaks with a Salford accent and is clean shaven. When last seen he was wearing dark blue trousers, a blue zip up fleece jacket and black leatherette training shoes with velcro fastenings.

Arthur may be driving a blue N-registered Renault Clio, and anyone who has information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Salford police on 0161 856 5284.
