LADBROKES are celebrating the opening of their new shop this weekend by backing the Advertiser's Christie Appeal.

The shop, which opened on Wednesday at Salford Shopping City, will place a free £200 bet on some of this weekend's sporting events.

Bob Young, development manager for Ladbrokes, said: "We are delighted to be able to help the Appeal, as it is a very deserving cause.

"Even if their bet doesn't come up trumps, we will still donate £200 to the Appeal."
