Harrop Fold School is a rapidly improving school, which places the welfare of the child at the heart of learning, progress and achievement. In the past three years, students at Harrop Fold have been part of a continuing success story.Ofsted inspections have recognised improvements and the capacity of the school to do better. This has resulted in the designation of the school as a Specialist Performing Arts College. A PFI project will enable the school to have a single site new building to be opened in September 2008. There have been massive improvements in the percentage of students gaining five good GCSE grades and five graded GCSEs.
There’s also been excellent progress in meeting the social inclusion agenda - exclusions are down by 95 per cent and attendance levels are well above 90 per cent.
Harrop Fold School is a safe, caring and learning environment. Students wear their unfirom with pride and are supported, challenged and well taught by qualified staff and governors.
