I cannot believe Salfordian's are having to go through this. I am so so proud of being born at Hope Hospital in 1976 and a proud Salfordian, although I am on the wrong side of the pennines at the moment I champion the fact to all and sundry where I am from. Hazel Blears should rectify this issue as soon as possible, History and heart go hand in hand, lets not become another faceless fact of the current state of affairs and disallow Salfordians the chance of becoming Salfordians for generations to come. Apart from the history side we need a central point in the city for births to take place. How can people justify taking this away ? Is it just bean counting gone mad ? IS THIS CHANGE DUE TO THE CURRENT POLITICAL CLIMATE WE ARE IN ?
