Hundreds back Jean's fight

Kathryn Ryan

A GRANDMOTHER fighting for a drug to treat her cancer has presented a petition to the people who refused to fund the treatment.

Jean Murphy’s family and friends rallied round after Salford Primary Care Trust declined to pay for her to be treated with Sutent - which is routinely available in Liverpool and Cheshire and has doubled the life expectancy of other sufferers.

DON'T GIVE UP JEAN, JUST REALIZE HUN YOU ARE DEALING WITH PEOPLE OF THE MOST IDIOTIC KIND. I REALLY WISH YOU THE VERY VERY BEST OF LOOK, AND I SINCERELY MEAN THAT. FIGHT AND FIGHT AND FIGHT THEM EVERY INCH OF THE WAY UNTIL YOU GET THE TREATMENT WHICH IS YOUR'S BY RIGHT. WHATEVER HAPPENS DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO LET THEM WIN. WE'RE ALL BEHIND YOU HUN AND WE'RE ALL SUPPORTING YOU. YOU ARE A VERY BRAVE LADY AND YOU DESERVE TO LIVE WITHOUT A DOUBT. SO KEEP GOING. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND YOURS ALWAYS. GOOD LUCK JEAN AND GOD BLESS YOU.

Keep fighting Jean - it is YOUR life and it is worth the effort. As you are discovering, all too often it is frequently not KC that kills us but the overpaid QUANGOs which destroy the efforts of the Clinicians in what is left of the health service with its devolved irresponsibility and Post Code Lotteries. There are many cases detailed at www dot KidneyCancerResource dot com run by Kidney Cancer Patients for Kidney Cancer carers & patients. Warm Hands as you are not alone as you fight the health controllers AND Kidney Cancer! Regards, Greg L-W.
