Trust’s Councillor prepares for role as next Mayor of city

THE chairman of Salford Royal foundation trust is stepping down after 10 years working for the health authority to become the city’s next mayor.

Margaret Morris, who is currently deputy mayor and councillor for Winton, will assume Councillor Val Burgoyne’s current role as mayor for Salford in May and will step down as chairman of the trust at the end of June.

   She'll get £18,369 on top of the basic allowance of £9,810. For the last year she's been getting an extra £4,425 for being Deputy Mayor.

   £41,000 per year for a FEW DAYS work every week ??????

So this is obviously where the NHS money goes to !!!!!

Come on Margaret, tell us how much you will earn as Mayor !!!!!, after all, the local people will be paying your wages and they have a right to know !!!!

   And what will she earn/gain as mayor????, bet it will not be a case of "stepping down" but accross!!. Would she have been as passionate about helath care if she was payed the same as the army of volunteers??.
