Soapbox: Father's Day so confusing for Joshua
Rachel Broady23/ 2/2006
CORONATION STREET Joshua's real dad is back on
the scene and earth mother Claire expresses concern for him.
The disloyalty will make Ashley squeak.
But the couple decide to write to Matt Ramsden, unaware that he is
already watching them and sneaking into their otherwise dull
lives.
Jason, meanwhile, mockingly insults Charlie's masculinity. We know
that when weak, bullying men fear that their authority is being
undermined they become aggressive and hostile, so how will we know
that Charlie has reacted?
Rosie returns from her school trip to hear that Craig has been
having a dalliance with Susie Watkins (that's not a Goth
name!).
Love may not run smoothly but for this pair it's of Shakespearean
proportion and, soon enough, Sally is trying to split them up again
by browsing boarding school brochures thinking a stint as one of
the Four Marys will sort Rosie out. Attention-starved Sophie storms
out but will no doubt be back in time for tea.
Janice, meanwhile, slaps Sally and who can blame her? Then Danny
sides with Sally when the manipulating minx bursts into tears,
leaving Janice having to fight dirtier. Janice loses her job, her
friends and wakes up next to Les. Oh dear.
EMMERDALE Tom gets a call from Sadie and says he
wants her and her horse out of their lives for good. He doesn't
shout "and take my useless son Matthew with you", sadly.
But she must return for her horse Cossack and with Bolshevik
brother Jarvis no longer in the village she may get the chance to
come and go quietly...but I doubt it. Matthew is still pining for
her despite the attentions of the flirty office temp so the Kings
try and fail to keep them apart. And it seems Sadie has a
fiancé.
Sadie's not the only one making a return appearance. Katie has been
in an accident which killed her dad so Andy runs off to hospital,
finding her in a coma (how can he be sure?).
When she finally wakes Andy offers to look after her but Chas warns
that it's a bad idea. Chas, the voice of reason?
EASTENDERS Stacey is jealous when she sees Bradley
chatting to Demi (she might need a babysitter) and upset when Ruby
pops back but is reluctant to hang around (she might have a cab
waiting) so Stacey gets drunk and flirts with Jake (she might be
genuinely upset!).
