Soapbox: Will Ty ever break ties with Maria?

CORONATION STREET When Maria is relieved to find she isn't pregnant, crestfallen Tyrone starts to realise that this coupling may not be all he thinks it is. You can almost hear the rusty cogs turning in his noggin. First she waxes his hair, plucks his eyebrows, then is relieved not to be carrying his child... she'll be making him wear clean undies every day next.

Liz arrives back from her cruise - probably so tanned she looks like a Prada shoulder bag - but without Bev. The barmaid enjoyed the Love Boat so much she won't be returning to Weatherfield. Fred is distraught.

He should take some tips from Sally on keeping couples apart. She wants Rosie to stop fumbling with Craig so sends her on a skiing trip to France. I say send Sophie and Chesney too, they're bound to turn into troubled teens so they could get the perks early.

Sunita is buckling under the strain so is willing to let her hopeless husband help - but as Dev celebrates the reconciliation, Sunita calls her family and says she's coming home.

Gail's romantic past catches up with her when she receives a card from Richard Hillman. Who could do something in such bad taste? Her hairdresser should be under suspicion.

EMMERDALE Turner is angry at Betty's disloyalty when the landlady admits she thinks Terence might be dodgy. He and Terence decide to move out before she can double his rent for being daft! Then Turner uses the B&B to pay off his nasty son's debts.

A clairvoyant tells Nicola her love life could be in trouble. Anyone in the village could've predicted that the day Simon agreed to date her.

But she 's convinced he's having an affair while he thinks she's a filthy little money-grabber. And he's not wrong!

EASTENDERS Billy's dating Little Mo again. I tell you, the script repetition is making me unsteady on my feet.
