SOAPBOX: Roy gets even more peculiar
by Rachel Broady23/ 6/2005
CORONATION STREET Roy is getting even more
peculiar. This is due to genetics and a new-found understanding of
a dead relative. Yes, Roy is building his grandather's invention.
You didn't see that storyline coming three miles off, did
you?
It's Jamie's 25th birthday and he doesn't look a day over 30.
Frankie wants to make it a day to remember (but Danny could do that
by telling him about his shenanigans!) and her plans are scuppered
when his real mum arrives for dinner...and drinks. The booze and
accusations fly and Jamie wishes he had another mum and will, no
doubt, wish he was an orphan soon enough.
Gail is wondering whether it was the right decision to have a
Womble move in. But Sarah Lou is in love with Scooter and
considering she's tolerated her mum marrying serial killers, Gail
should think on.
Meanwhile, Steve is devastated that Tracy has disappeared with Amy.
Deirdre is devastated too. But Ken is thrilled with the peace and
quiet. That well-read, considerate local journalist is hugely under
appreciated and I know how he feels.
Anyway. Sean is playing with a dead cat. It's a stuffed one that
the goth boy's granddad gave him and it introduces him to a
potential boyfriend in Tim the totty vet...
EMMERDALE As Scott plunges into a coma he manages
to accuse Zoe of attempted murder. Handy that! The schizophrenic
lesbian single mum vet is taken away for questioning. The
interrogation should include "why have you always had the same
haircut?" and "do you eat?" but it won't.
Meanwhile, Robert thinks Andy is becoming Jack's favourite son.
Like derrrr, as his fellow teens would say. I would sooner have
either Osbourne child than Robert for company! This time it is
because Jack has left a cheque for Andy. Which, when you think
about it, is generous considering Andy shot him and almost killed
him not that long ago. Debbie is thinking of giving her baby up for
adoption but the Dingles try to convince her it is better with
them. How does that work? Andy has told her he doesn't love her and
will only be there for the baby. He's not been the same since he
dated that posh sort.
EASTENDERS Little Mo tells Alfie that because of
Kat they can't have a relationship. For the, oooh, millionth time?
Then Pat and Dot reminisce about the old times. For the, ooh,
millionth time? I don't know about you but I've had
enough!
